Zima na Cyprze jest łagodna. Pomimo, że w bliskiej Turcji szaleje obecnie zima, na Cyprze jest ciepło. Częste są pochmurne i wietrzne dni. W takie dni, gdy wieje silny wiatr, w dzień jest pomimo to w miarę ciepło, czasem pada deszcz, a sporadycznie zdarzają się burze; nocą jednak temperatura spada nawet w okolice 5-6 stopni Celsjusza i wszyscy zakładają cieplejsze ubrania (w tym koniecznie kurtki).
